This article demonstrates how to utilize the x360ce emulator with any PC game, including the Steam title Mortal Kombat X and the Logitech Rumblepad 2. x360ce is an Xbox 360 Controller Emulator that lets you use any controller (gamepad, joystick, wheel, etc.) as an Xbox 360 controller.
1. Save the x360ce zip file to your computer. For your game, you must choose between 32bit and 64bit versions. If you’re not sure if your game is 32-bit or 64-bit, I recommend downloading the 64-bit version for newer titles and the 32-bit version for older games. However, if you download the incorrect version, x360ce will notify you that you need to download a different version.
2. First, we must determine where your game is installed as well as the location of the game executable. When you right-click your game’s name in Steam and select Properties, you can quickly find it.
3. Choose Local files -tab and Browse local files.
4. Locate the folder containing your game’s executable. It’s in Binaries/Retail in this example. Within that folder, extract the x360ce ZIP file.
5. Select Run as administrator from the context menu when you right-click the x360ce exe file.
6. The x360 Controller Emulator will display a warning message “xinput 1_3.dll was not found. This file is required for emulator to function properly. “. Click Create from the drop-down menu.

7. Now that x360ce has recognized a new device, I recommend pressing Next to have it search the internet for settings.
8. Choose Finish.
9. Then, I always hit Auto because it didn’t always fill all of the buttons automatically.
10. Tap Yes.
11. Tap Save.
