The occurrence of synchronizing issues with the Windows Mail Application has become more widespread in recent years. Even when the Fetch new Messages as they arrive and Download messages from all time options are chosen, synchronization issues occur. This problem is most common when syncing Gmail and Yahoo accounts. This problem is also found in a small number of company emails.
We’ve outlined some fixes in this article to assist you in resolving syncing issues with the Mail App.

Try the following before proceeding with the fixes:
- Ascertain that the system is connected to the internet.

Fix 1: Update Windows Mail App
Step 1: Select the Windows Store App from the taskbar.
Step 2: Select the library from the left-hand menu.
Step 3: Next to Updates& downloads, click the Get Updates button.
Step 4: You will be able to see any new changes to the Mail app.
Step 5: Get the updates and install them.
Step 6: Reboot your computer.
Fix 2: Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
Step 1: Press the Shortcut keys Windows+r to open the Run Dialog.
Step 2: In the pop-up box, type the command ms-settings:troubleshoot and press OK.
Step 3: Select Other troubleshooter from the pop-up menu.
Step 4: Scroll down to the Others section and look for Windows Store Apps.
Step 5: Select the Run option.
Step 6: The troubleshooter will begin diagnosing the problem, and if there are any issues, you will be told. In addition, the troubleshooter would suggest the necessary fix. Complete the process by following the on-screen instructions.
Step 7: Reboot the computer.
Fix 3: Modify the Sync Frequency
Step 1: Launch the Mail Program.
Step 2: In the window’s left-hand corner, select the menu option (three horizontal lines).
Step 3: Right-click on the account that isn’t synchronizing and select Properties.
Step 4: Select Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: Select Options for syncing your content from the pop-up window, as shown below.
Step 6: In the Sync Settings window that appears, select as items arrive from the Download new content drop-down menu.
NOTE: You have the option of selecting other options as well. unless manually and based on my usage.
Step 7: Select any time from the Download email from drop-down menu.
Step 8: Toggle the button next to the Email option.
Step 9: Select Done.
Step ten is to restart the computer.
Step 11: Check if the problem has been resolved by opening the Windows Mail application.
Fix 4: Allow access to Calender
Step 1: Go to the Run Dialog.
Step 2: Hit Enter on the command ms-settings:privacy-calendar.
Step 3: Make sure the option Let the apps access your calendar is enabled. If it isn’t already on, toggle the button to turn it on.
Step 4: Toggle the button next to Mail and Calendar to turn it ON in this section.
Step 5: Reboot the computer.
Fix 5: Restore Firewalls to Default
Step 1: Use Windows+R to open Run Dialog.
Step 2: Enter ms-settings:windowsdefender and choose Enter.
Step 3: Click on Open Windows Security in the appearing window.
Step 4: Click on Firewall and network protection tile in the opening window.
Step 5: Pull down and click on Restore firewalls to default.
Fix 6: Remove and Re-add the account
Step 1: Go to the Mail App and open it.
Step 2: In the lower left corner of the window, click the Settings symbol.
Step 3: Select Manage Settings from the pop-up box.
Step 4: Select an email account that should be deleted.
Step 5: Select Delete account from this device from the pop-up box.
Step 6: Select Delete from the confirmation dialog that appears.
Step 7: When you’re finished, click Add account.
