How to Fix Laptop Speaker Crackling Sound in Windows 10

Step 1: On your desktop, click the Start button, then choose Settings (located above the Power option).

In the Sound window, go to the Playback tab, then Speakers, then Properties.

Step 5: Select the first option 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) from the Advanced tab > Apply.

Step 6: Open Volume Mixer by right-clicking on the volume icon on the taskbar.

Step 8: Click the Communications tab in the Sound window > pick the radio button next to Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80% > Apply.

Step 1: On your desktop, click the Start button > Settings ( located above the Power option).

Step 2: Select Update & Security from the Settings menu.

Step 3: In the next window, click Troubleshoot on the left side of the pane > scroll down > Get up and running > click on Paying Audio > click on Run the Troubleshooter button on the right side of the pane.

Method 3: How to Fix Laptop Speaker Crackling Sound in Windows 10 via Device Manager

Step 1: Right-click on This PC and select Manage from the menu.

Step 2: Next, on the left side of the window, click Device Manager > on the right side of the pane, click Sound, video, and gaming controllers > click to expand.

Step 3: Right-click on the audio device on your system, select High Definition Audio Device (in this example), and then select Update Driver.

Step 4: Next, select Search automatically for updated driver software, and then select Browse my computer for driver software if no driver is available online.

Step 5: In the following box, select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: It will display all of your computer’s possible sound devices > select Model > click Next to install.
