In this post, we will show you how to enable or disable using the resizable Start menu instead of the newer expandable Start menu in Windows 10.
Note: This guide no longer works starting with Windows 10 build 10041 released on March 18th 2015.
Windows 10 build 9926 uses a new expandable Start menu without a Start screen and Apps screen by default now.

The old resizable Start menu with the option to select to use the Start screen and Start menu is still available, but you would need to be enabled if want. Here are the steps:

Step 5. You will now notice a command prompt quickly open and close, and your screen flash while applying the changes to your registry and to restart explorer.
Step 6. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .bat file(s) if you want.
That’s about it.
