And now they’ve released the first Windows 11 Insider Preview Update.
And the new Start Menu astounds every Windows user. They’ve designed a whole new round corner design and moved it to the middle, making it more attractive.
However, Microsoft has released a fresh update for Windows 10 users so that they may enjoy it as well.
However, I’ve encountered a lot of customers who genuinely want to install Windows 11 from scratch on their PC.
They’ll certainly need a Windows 11 USB to install it in this instance.

How to Create Windows 11 Bootable USB Drive From an ISO Image File
But first, let’s take a deeper look.
Try checking to see if your computer is capable of running Windows 11.
Additionally, double-check that you have all of the necessary items.
- A Pen Drive: At least 8Gb or more
- Windows 11 ISO File
- USB Tool ( Which will help you to convert Windows ISO to USB )
I’m using the Micorosoft_Consumer_Client_ISO version here, but you may also use the Windows 11 Insider Preview if you want.
And in this post, I’ll be using a program named Rufus. (Which is a fantastic tool for quickly booting Windows 11 from a USB drive.)
1. Download and Install Rufus Tool
To begin, download and Install the Rufus tool on your PC or Laptop.
Since it is a portable application that doesn’t require any installation.
2. Open Rufus USB Tool
When you’ve finished installation, launch the Rufus USB tool and then insert the USB Drive into your PC.
3. Select USB Flash Drive
Tap on the Device drop-down menu in the Drive Properties section, and then choose your inserted USB Flash Drive.
4. Select Windows 11 ISO File
Then, tap on the SELECT button in the Boot Selection section.
Go to the Windows 11 ISO Image file stored on your computer and then tap on Open.
5. Configure Bootable Settings
Rufus has one feature that I particularly like: it automatically finds all of the appropriate settings for your Windows OS. ( Which are required for USB booting )
However, you may need to adjust everything properly on occasion. And the appropriate settings for Windows 11 OS will be as follows.
- Image option as Standard Windows installation
- Select your Partition scheme. Use MBR if you’re using BIOS or GPT if you’re using UEFI.
After you’ve completed all of the options, choose START.
Note: Before proceeding, please ensure that you have backed up all of your data from the USB Disk, since it will be formatted.
Afterward, you’ll get a WARNING, which you should ignore, and then click OK.
And that’s it! You’ve generated Windows 11 bootable USB drive from an ISO file.
Important Tip: I strongly advise you to try installing Windows 11 on VirtualBox first, and then on your primary computer.

How to Boot Windows 11 USB Stick from PC or Laptop
I’ve previously shown you how to make a USB bootable in the previous section. And in this section, I’ll teach you how to correctly boot it.
Many customers have reported issues with Windows 11‘s boot procedure. I’m not sure why, but this brief guide may be of use.
So let’s get this party started…
1. Restart your computer or laptop after inserting the bootable USB drive.
2. When your computer or laptop boots up and displays the manufacturer’s logo, press F2 or F12 repeatedly.
3. The Boot Menu will appear, and you will be able to pick the USB device that you made previously. It will now begin loading the Windows OS files for installation.
If it doesn’t work for you, move on to Step 4.
4. Restart your CPU and look for the BIOS settings key. ( In addition to F2 and F12, you may try Esc and F10.)
5. Now that you’re in the BIOS Settings, look for the Boot Order option and choose USB Drive as the first priority. After that, save and exit the program.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully booted Windows 11 from a USB flash drive.
