1] Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter

Select ‘Network Adapter’ from the right pane and click on ‘Run Troubleshooter.’

2] Update the driver

If you’re a regular PC user, you’re probably aware that outdated drivers might cause problems. If you’re having trouble connecting to your mobile hotspot, it’s a good idea to update the Network adapter driver.

You must first launch Device Manager in order to update the driver.

Open Device Manager by typing it into the search box.
Navigate to Network Adapters.
Right-click on your Network Adapter from the list.
Update the driver by selecting it.
Restart your computer after the update is complete.
Check to see if the problem with your mobile hotspot has been resolved.

3] Change Adapter Settings

On your PC, go to the Mobile Hotspot settings.
To open Settings, press Win+I and select Network & Internet.
Select Mobile Hotspot from the left window by scrolling down.
Change adapter options can be found under ‘Related Settings‘ in the right pane.
Right-click on your mobile hotspot adaptor and select Properties.
Open Sharing tab and Uncheck “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”.

4] Check Registry settings

Open Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Start menu. Select Run as administrator from the context menu. Go to the following registry key now:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WlanSvc\Parameters\HostedNetworkSettings\

In the right pane, right-click HostedNetworkSettings and select Delete.
