FIX: CLIPSVC (Client License Service) not starting in Windows 10

CLIPSVC is an abbreviation of Client License Service and it is used to provide a support structure for all the Windows Store app. So, in order for the Windows Store apps to work, CLIPSV should be enabled on your computer. Method 1. Merge a Registry Script.

You have to create a Registry Script and merge it to start CLIPSVC service on your computer.

2. Then, click on File > Save as on the menu bar. Save it with a .reg extension.

3. Now, right-click on the .reg file and click on “Merge” to run the script file and merge the changes with the registry keys.

You will be asked to confirm your action, do that, just click on “Yes” to confirm the merger.

4. Then, restart your computer or excute the following command in Command Prompt (as an administrator) to enable CLIPSVC in Windows 10.

net start clipsvc

Method 2. Reset Microsoft Store apps.

if the script does not fix the problem, try resetting Microsoft Store apps from PowerShell.

1. Open PowerShell as Administrator.

2. Type and execute the following command:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.Services.Store* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

3. Wait for it to complete and see if the problem persists.

If don’t want to run any command, open Settings (Win + I) and select Apps. Find Microsoft Store, select it and click Advanced options > Reset.
