Method 1. Use AutoRun to Delete the Scheduled Task
1. First of all, make sure that you have removed any malware or virus that has infected your computer completely.

Once you have scanned the system for any threat and deleted it, follow these steps to use AutoRun to remove the scheduled task
2. Download AutoRun from this source.
3. Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract the AutoRun Zip file to the newly created folder.
4. Open the extracted folder, double-click on autoruns.exe to run it. Wait until the everything list is populated with startup items.
5. When it is done, you will see Ready at the bottom and it will list all the entries under Everything tab.
6. Open the Find window by pressing Ctrl + F.
7. In the Find window, type “backgroundcontainer.dll” and click on Find Next.
8. If found, right-click on backgroundcontainer.dll entry and select Delete.
9. Close Autoruns and restart your computer when done.
After restarting, check if the backgroundcontainer.dll not found error is resolved.
Method 2. Remove BackgroundContainer.dll error from Windows
If the problem persists after deleting the entry or if AutoRuns failed even to find the scheduled tasks, you can remove the entry manually using the Task scheduler.
To begin, we are going delete every registry entry via Registry Editor.
1. Press the Windows logo key + R at the same time, and then type in “regedit“. Click OK to open the Registry Editor.
2. In Registry Editor, press Ctrl + F to bring up the search function. In the search box, type “backgroundcontainer.dll” and click on Find Next. It will take a while until the scan is performed.
3. Once the query is complete, remove all registry entries associated with the Backgroundcontainer.dll file and close Registry Editor.
Moving on, we’ll open Task Scheduler and disable any scheduled task that is programmed to call for the backgroundcontainer.dll file.
4. Press the Windows logo key + R at the same time, and then type in “taskschd.msc“. Click OK to open Task Scheduler.
5. In Task Scheduler, click on Task Scheduler Library. find an entry related to BackgroundContainer.
6. If found, right-click on it and select Delete.
7. Close the Task Scheduler window and reboot the computer
After restarting your coputer, check if you are able to Fix BackgroundContainer.dll error on Startup.
