The AOMEI PE Builder is a free Windows software that lets you construct a preinstallation environment. It provides free Windows PE utilities for creating bootable Windows PE on USB, CD/DVD, and ISO, among other things. It will reboot system-failed PCs and keep your Windows PC and Server up to date. All you have to do now is choose whether you want to burn the data on a disc, make a bootable USB flash drive, or save the ISO file to your local hard drive.

What’s PE?

PE is a simplified operating system based on a version of the Windows kernel that aids in the installation, deployment, and repair of Windows without the need to install Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK).

Because PE builder is based on Windows PE, it includes the Start Menu, Windows Explorer, and taskbar that can be found in all Windows versions. It can be used to produce a bootable CD or a USB flash drive that can be removed. It can also be used to save all of the contents of an ISO document and store it on your computer.

AOMEI PE comes with a few tools by default, but you can add more if you want. There is, for example, file recovery tools such as Recuva, Sumatra PDf, and others. Other portable tools can be added if desired.

The “Add Files” button is located in the lower-left corner of the main page. This option assists you in adding portable tools to Windows PE. With the help of PE Builder, you may add your favorite tools to the bootable disc, such as 7-Zip, VLC, and Notepad++.

Then, as seen in the screenshot, add files or directories.

AOMEI Backupper and AOMEI Partition Assistant are the two main products included in this free program. The two have the following functions:

  1. Backup and restore the system, partitions, and the entire drive with AOMEI Backupper.
  2. AOMEI Partition Assistant is a comprehensive disk management program that allows users to format, create, remove, transfer, resize, and merge partitions. Other features have been introduced to allow you to change specific options during the setup process.

Dual-boot support has been added to AOMEI PE Builder 2.0, allowing you to utilize your recovery disc on both modern UEFI PCs and older machines with a legacy BIOS. It works with the desktop, Windows Explorer, the start menu, and the taskbar, plus it comes with Aomei Hard Disk Partition Manager and Aomei Backup & Restore software, so it appears to be a worthwhile download.
